Call Me A Yuppy Bastard, But I Love Sirius Radio

I've recently jumped on the bandwagon and have purchased a sirius radio system for myself. After playing around with it for a week now I've come to some conclusions. Boston radio just isn't that good. I like making mix tapes and cds, but they get stale after a while. There is always something to listen to on Sirius. There are over a 100 music and talk channels and I don't mean to sound like a Sirius advertisement, but really, there is never a time where there is nothing to listen to anymore. I especially love, Left of Center (the indie rock channel) and Octane (the metal channel). Maybe if I lived in another city, I wouldn't need Sirius as much. My friend Ed, informed me, in a recent conservation, that Chicago has a lot of good stations, but not here. Who can listen to WBCN, FNX or the oldy stations that have the same old tired playlists. Yes, I also do like Howard Stern. It has been really interesting listening to Stern over the past week. His programming on Sirius is a lot different from his old show. It's uncensored and he runs 2 channels. He does his normal morning show, which airs on both channels but one is 3 hours ahead of the other (giving the west coast audience a better time to listen). He also has given birth to other shows on his station. Last week, he gave Danny Bonaduce his own show for 3 hours in the afternoon. I mean what's better than listening to this guy talk about the dumb drunken shit he does for 3 hours?!?!? Stern is working hard to create is own empire on Sirius and he seems to be succeeding. Millions of people have purchased Sirius since he went on the air a few weeks ago. Who knows how long the Sirius thing will last. My dad told me that when cable tv came about, everyone said that it wouldn't last, and that people wouldn't pay for tv. I don't know if the same thing will happen with Sirius. But one thing is for sure, I am hooked on Sirius radio.
